Free Person-Centered Thinking Training Image

Consumer Direct Care Network Colorado will host a free two-day Person-Centered Thinking Training on Tuesday, April 9, 9am-4:30pm, and Wednesday, April 10, 9am-4:30pm. Lunch is provided and attendees are expected to attend both days of training.

About the Training: Person-Centered Thinking is about discovering what is important to, and for, a person. Person-Centered Thinking Training is two full days of interactive training to address issues of health and safety from a variety of perspectives, while empowering people who have a disability to maintain control and a sense of being heard. By the end of this training, attendees will have the tools to write a Person-Centered Description. Person-Centered Thinking Training is for anyone interested in helping organizations ensure that Person Centeredness is ingrained from top to bottom, improving the organization’s culture and services.

About the Trainer: Betsy Gadbois has worked in the field of developmental disabilities since 1980 and has been executing Person-Centered Planning since the early 1990s. She is a certified trainer and mentor for Person-Centered Thinking and Person-Centered Planning in Minnesota. She has trained people all over the country including Consumer Direct Care Network Colorado participants, families, providers, and state agencies. Betsy is passionate about people having positive control and living the life they desire.
