Employer 101 Workshop

Consumer Direct Care Network Colorado is hosting a virtual Employer 101 Workshop March 28-29, 2024. Join us to learn more about the CDASS program, Electronic Visit Verification (EVV), best practices for employers, safety, and more. The virtual Employer 101 Workshop will be hosted on Microsoft Teams. There will be six sessions over two days. Attendees may join as many sessions as they would like and are welcome to come and go as their schedules allow.

The Workshop is free but registration is required. Registration grants you access to all six sessions. For more information about the sessions, please review the workshop schedule below the registration form.

Welcome to the Employer 101 Workshop.

Session 1: 9:30-11am
CDASS Basics
What is CDASS? Join us for an overview of the CDASS service delivery option covering roles and responsibilities, covered tasks, and billing through your FMS provider.

Session 2: 11:30am-1pm
CDASS Advanced
We’ll take a deeper dive into CDASS and cover budgeting, recertifications, switching FMS providers or Authorized Representatives, and more!

Session 3: 1:30-3pm
CDASS Safety: Mitigating Risk of Abuse, Neglect, Financial Exploitation, Sexual Harassment, & Fraud
Safety is so important it needed its own session. We’ll cover important topics such as disaster planning, fraud, abuse, and personal risk and safety.

Who’s the Boss: Human Resources & Unique Employer Challenges
Do you have what it takes to be a good and fair employer? Being the boss isn’t easy, but there are tips, tricks, and tools available in this session that can help you be the boss your employees deserve.

Session 2: 11:30am-1pm
Managing Electronic Visit Verification (EVV)
Electronic Visit Verification can be a complex requirement to manage, and we want to help you understand why EVV is required and what your roles and responsibilities involve.

Session 3: 1:30pm-3pm
Understanding Employer and Employee Taxes and Working With Your FMS
Join this session to learn more about CDASS employer and employee taxes. You will have a chance to ask your FMS questions and learn about other available tax resources.
