This e-learning is geared towards Members (person receiving services) or their designated Authorized Representatives (AR) who are new to the IHSS program. About the Training
Consumer Direct Care Network Colorado (CDCO) is hosting a free two-day person-centered thinking training January 10-11, 2023 from 9am-4pm each day at the Wingate by Wyndham Greenwood Village/Denver Tech. Lunch will be provided both days. Person-centered thinking is about discovering what is important to, and for, a person. It empowers people to plan their lives and work toward reaching their goals. This two-day interactive training is for anyone interested in helping organizations ensure that person-centeredness is ingrained from top to bottom. Attendees will learn about the concept of person-centered thinking and the value it brings to an organization’s culture and services. This is an in-person event. No virtual option will be offered. Attendees must commit to both days of training. You cannot join the second day of training if you missed the first.
About the Trainer
Betsy Gadbois, has worked in the field of developmental disabilities since 1980 and has been delivering person-centered planning trainings since the early 1990’s. She is a certified trainer and mentor for Person-Centered Thinking and Person-Centered Planning in Minnesota. She has trained people all over the country including people we support, families, providers, and state agencies. Betsy is passionate about people having positive control over a life they desire.
Who Should Attend?
This training is designed for staff at all levels in an organization, as well as individuals who receive support and their families. Space is limited!
